The Busy Coder's Guide to Advanced Android Development Version 1.9.9 Released
And, hot on the heels of the last announcement, The Busy Coder’s Guide to Advanced Android Development Version 1.9.9 is now available for subscribers.
There are two new chapters in this version of the book. One covers basic NFC operations, using NDEF-compatible tags. The other covers the tapjacking attack vector, including how you can determine if potential tapjackers are installed and what (limited) defenses there are against tapjacking attacks.
I have removed the portions of the Production chapter that cover the Android Market and other markets. Those portions were massively out of date. I plan to add them back to the book, in a substantially revised form, someday. With luck, by the end of the year.
Beyond that, the book features a few minor improvements here and there, plus the ever-popular errata fixes.
