Android Programming Tutorials Version 4.0 Released

Subscribers now have access to the latest release of Android Programming Tutorials, known as Version 4.0.

Other than a few minor errata fixes and confirming it works on Android 3.2, this is unchanged from the Version 3.9 “release candidate” for the 4th Edition in print. If you already have downloaded Version 3.9, there’s no huge need to rush out and download Version 4.0.

The 4th Edition of this book in print should be published late this month.

This book should next be updated late this year (or perhaps drifting into early next year) for compatibility testing with Ice Cream Sandwich, cleaning up some older coding practices (dropping Android 1.x support as a side effect, most likely), and perhaps another tutorial or two.

If you encounter any issues with the samples in the book, please post your problems to StackOverflow with the commonsware tag, and I’ll get back to you ASAP.
