The Busy Coder's Guide to Android Development Version 3.3 Released
Subscribers now have access to the latest release of The Busy Coder’s Guide to Android Development, known as Version 3.3. Here are some of the highlights:
- The chapters on services were largely rewritten, including three new samples, better coverage of the command versus the binding pattern, better coverage of asynchronous messaging from the service to the client, and more.
- Minor improvements were made to the chapters on integrating Java code and notifications.
- The chapters on content providers were removed, as they will be rewritten and put in The Busy Coder’s Guide to Advanced Android Development.
Of course, there is no Gingerbread coverage, since there is no Gingerbread. Hence, there will hopefully be another update to this book before the year is out, adding in some ginger-flavored goodness.
