hello, Mario!
Mark M. |
how can I help you today?
Mario |
Hello Mark
Mario |
My problem is quite serios
Mario |
I'm struggling with it from some time

Mario |
I have the same problem, I can't send the click to list items
Mark M. |
I have never worked with the accessibility APIs this way, so I cannot really help you directly
Mark M. |
I will warn you that Google has been "cracking down" on apps that use the accessibility APIs for functionality that is not related to accessibility, so be careful
Mark M. |
beyond that, you might look at posts related to UI Automator -- while that is a testing library and cannot itself be used here, UI Automator is based on the accessibility APIs, and it may give you some ideas
Mario |
I'm trying to make an accessibility app
Mario |
I've made a running app
Mario | |
Mark M. |
cool!
Mario |
the problem is that I'm stuck on that issue

Mario |
can;t send the click events to list items
Mark M. |
like I said, I have not worked with those APIs (other than indirectly through UI Automator), so I have no practical experience with them
Mario |
after a very unfortunate incident, my brother in law remained paralyzed
Mark M. |
I am sorry to hear that
Mario |
View paste
Mario |
i'm not interested to publish the app on playstore, just to solve my brother in law problem

understood -- unfortunately, other than what I have told you here, I do not have much advice
Mark M. |
I do wish you luck with your project, though!
Mario |
k, ty
Mario |
i was trying to understand Talkback source code https://github.com/google/talkback
Mario |
but without any luck
Mark M. |
this is a fairly specialized area, so I am not surprised that there is little written about it
Mario |
i don;t have much experience with other people code
Mario |
can you give me some advice about reading open source code??
Mark M. |
um, can you be more specific?
Mario |
or link ??
Mario |
other than trying things from other ppl code, idk how to use it
Mark M. |
mostly, a project like that is just as a source of ideas or examples of how they used particular APIs
Dec 19 | 8:55 AM |
Mario |
good point
Mark M. |
so if there was some method that you did not understand, you can search the project repo to see if they used it
Mario |
sorry for disturbing you
Mark M. |
I'm sorry for not being of greater use!
Mario |
congrats for the commonsware project
Mark M. |
thanks!
Mario |
your material is wonderful and much better than the official one
Mario |
have a nice day!
Mark M. |
you too!
Dec 19 | 9:00 AM |
Mario |
do you have any idea who can I ask about my problem or how to get it solved?
Mario |
by myself it doesn't seems that I'll be able to
Mark M. |
if Google holds any developer events in your area, you could try attending one and see if you can develop some contacts
Mark M. |
you could try asking a fresh Stack Overflow question, since the one that you linked to is a couple of years old and already has an accepted answer
Mark M. |
you could try some of the other sites that I list at: https://commonsware.com/andglobe
Mark M. |
you could request an invite at http://android-united.community/ if you like Slack (I'm not a member, so I do not have experience with this Slack community)
Mario |
thx
Mario |
i'm not a slack user either, but I'll try
