how can I help you today?

I would like to ask you a question regarding Open GL. I think that what will make the difference to find a job as Android coder once you know all the basic/medior things is to master animations. UX plays always a more important role. So all the application develop several "fancy" animations. When is the moment to learn Open GL? and I do not understand do people that do videogame use of OpenGL or usually they just use a program called Unity?

"When is the moment to learn Open GL?" -- since I do not know OpenGL, I cannot answer this

"I do not understand do people that do videogame use of OpenGL or usually they just use a program called Unity?" -- many games are written using game engines like Unity3D
|
Mark M. |
Unity3D is cross-platform, which has benefits to many game developers
|
Mark M. |
however, I would imagine that there are some things that Unity3D does not support, that could only be achieved by writing your own OpenGL app

but, I have not written a game in about 30 years, so it is not my area of expertise :-)

OK, good to know, so basically I can do animation exploiting the Canvas, Custom views, xml files, and using the proprety animator API
|
ndrocchietto_ivano |
that is enough for me, thank you

for non-game apps, and even some simple games (e.g., Sudoku), what you are describing is fine

great to know, it looks as a good news, because I would give more priority to JavaRX+Java8 functionalities than OpenGL

have a nice day thanks I go to restore my body with an healthy sleep!
