confused a lot of people when the XOOM was released

I have a question about Loaders

I just need to compile it so it doesn't come across too confused

I haven't played with the Loader framework yet, so I may not be able to help, but I can try

I have a Loader which is working quite nicely - mostly

I usually have a broadcast receiver set up to receive broadcasts which are sent when data is changed

(eg in my database - say if a fetch is occurring to a webserver)

when this occurs I usually have been able to run mLoader.onContentChanged();

you're already past my personal experience with Loaders

it's one of those things I need to get to by the end of the year, if not sooner

the issue I have is that when I have multiple Loaders in the LoaderManager with multiple Fragments for the same Activity onContentChanged doesn't seemt to run

I have three "tabs" (I'm no longer using the tabactivity

and each has a list

and each list can be sorted 4 ways

so I have to have 12 unique identifiers for each loader

I mean

12 unique ids one for each loader

anywho no worries, I have some ugly catch which works, but feels... wrong :)

I'm finding the Fragments great, quite flexible, but I have so many files now!

I haven't hungout, but then I've been busy and when I tried to get into the Android one I couldn't make it

yeah Reto seems pretty awesome - and a generally good guy

haven't interacted with him a ton, personally

that said I found the Location thing he did quite tricky

err a projects howing how to make an app really good wrt Location Listening

yeah, he's gotten way deeper into that than I have so far

someday, I'll create an Advanced Location Tracking chapter in the Advanced Android book and try to get to that level

I've taken a bit of the code from the developer website and hacked round depending on what I'm doing (depending on the project)

probably pour more smarts into my LocationPoller component along the way

been away - have some health problems, also in colorado now

my "talking quotes" app has sold all of 2 copies -both to friends

anyway, i hate games/kids, but have decided to develop "angry parents" app

it will be a "duel" between 2 android devices using bluetooth to communicate

as you know, the emulator doesn't support bluetooth, so i decided to splurge and purchase a tablet to debug my app using my phone (motorola )bravo and my new tablet - a viewsonic gtablet

yeah, for Bluetooth-to-Bluetooth, you'll need hardware for full end-to-end testing

the gtablet was a horror out of the box with android 2.2 - would lock upon startup - after 30 tries i could sometimes get it to run - anyway after 40 hours of hacking i flashed honeycomb into the tablet and it is now great -what a learning experience - almost bricked it too

yeah, I haven't heard good things about that device

anyway, what do i need to do for ADB torecognize is my question ?

what OS is your development machine running?

the viewsonic hardware is solid -its very nice with Honeycomb

i use windows 7/eclipse

amfamiliar with ADB, etc

OK, you'll need a driver

it's possible the generic driver that ships with the SDK will work

if not, you'd need to contact whoever gave you the Honeycomb firmware

and ask them

Viewsonic might provide drivers for their tablet, but only for the OS they ship

it's possible the Honeycomb firmware will use the same drivers, but I'd have no way to know
