The plan is simple: you give us $35, we give you access to personalized digital copies of the entire CommonsWare library for a year, for your individual use. No DRM, no recurring charges.
CommonsWare titles will be updated several times in digital form (PDF, Kindle, etc.) in between print versions. Some books will be updated once a month or more. By purchasing the Warescription, you get all those interim releases (e.g., Version 1.1) in addition to the major releases (e.g., Version 2.0).
This isn't just for a single title either — this is for the whole library. Admittedly, CommonsWare is just starting out, so the collection of available titles is fairly small. But, as new titles get published (4-8 per year), Warescription subscribers get immediate access to them as well, even before they are available in print. You just download the ones you need when you need them.
If you don't think we are providing enough value, just let your subscription lapse, and you still get to keep the copies you downloaded for your own individual use. However, when your subscription lapses, you will no longer be able to get updates to those titles, or any new titles, or any material or benefits we provide solely for Warescription members.
Today, we accept payment via Amazon Payments and PayPal. Or, if you have received a coupon code from us, you can use that to add time to your Warescription as well.
